Holiday Times.
Dear families and friends of the young people in your lives,
Hello!
It’s already December. If you’re reading this, you’ve survived almost 2 years of Pandemic Life. There are so many unknowns and there is still so much to learn,
But here we are. We made it to this moment. Hooray!
I have some thoughts and updates:
In my experience, simple caring-for-myself routines are harder in the winter months. I am feeling this in a big way. I am learning to celebrate the tiny ways I can show up for myself: 2 minutes of meditation instead of zero; calling a friend for support or advice even when I am flooded with pride; listening to a fabulous playlist instead of tuning into the background hum of unhelpful thoughts and messages…
I invite you to take a moment and think about a time in the last 24 hours that you showed up to take care of yourself in a seemingly mundane way. We MUST remember to shine light on these tiny triumphs during the darkest times.
I am launching my Private Practice Full time starting in January 2022! This is exciting and overwhelming. I now have a waitlist as more people take the brave step to seek help for their kiddos and family situations.
Being a lifelong learner is exhausting sometimes! I have so much gratitude for the many many brilliant humans who uplift and support me on this journey like a cross-my-heart bra.
I wanted to share my affirmation cardsand your kiddos for the holidays and beyond. I made them in Canva, and all of the illustrations/graphics are from Sketchify. Special thanks to my amazing sister Emily for helping me clarify the content.
You can use them to “pick a card, any card,” or tape one to the mirror, or print 2 copies and make a memory game with your child, or use them as prompts for writing or drawing or dance parties.
Wishing you warmth and nourishment as we transition to the year of the tu-tu.
Sending so much love, and thank you for all the things you are and all the things you do.
You’re a superstar.
