Rates ✦ Payment ✦ Contracts
All payments will be made and received through the HIPAA-compliant Simple Practice Portal.
You will receive more information via email once we have had a discovery call and you and I decide to work together!
Private Pay (out-of-pocket) vs. Insurance.
I do not accept insurance, however I do provide an insurance-specific invoice, called a superbill, to clients who have a PPO network plan.
To learn more about the superbill process, see this awesome article.
If you’d like to use your PPO insurance to get reimbursed for services:
Please note: in order to use insurance benefits, you need to be eligible for a DSM diagnosis. If you’d rather not have yourself or your child with a diagnosis on file, you can choose pay my private rate.
Once we establish our working relationship, you will receive these contracts via Simple Practice client portal.
If you choose to pay out of pocket (private pay), or have other insurance with Out-of-Network coverage (usually a PPO plan), you may decide to request a “Superbill” and submit it to your insurance company. This allows your insurance provider to possibly reimburse a percentage of the counseling fee directly to you. The full fee is required, from you, at the time of service.
Please call your insurance provider to ensure you have out-of-network coverage for mental health counseling. I can provide you with a monthly statement (a “Superbill”) for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please note that if you want to go the Superbill route, you must have a DSM-5 diagnosis on file.
If you want to pay for services out-of-pocket (“Private Pay”) :
You will receive all contracts and intake questionnaires through the Simple Practice portal as well as submit all payments through that portal using a Credit, Debit, HSA or FSA card. We will set your payments up with Autopay so that you will receive invoices automatically and be charged the same day as our session.
If you decide to submit a “Superbill”, please inform me so that I can discuss a proper diagnostic evaluation with you and clarify your diagnosis code so that you can get reimbursed with insurance.
